SUBMISSIONS

Thank you for your interest in Flip The Script Publishing. Please use this form to submit your creative work for potential publication.

Whether you're just starting out or have already been published, we want to hear from you!

Note: You aren't entering into any publishing agreements or giving up any rights to your work by using this form. 

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • All submissions must be made through our online submission form.

  • We do not accept writing created by AI. While AI can be a tool, the creative contribution must come from a human author. 

  • We do accept illustrations created with AI. Avoid generating AI content that directly infringes on existing copyrighted material. Be Transparent: Disclose your use of AI to the publisher. 

  • We accept submissions from all over the world, however all submissions must be in English: if submitting a translation, please make a note in the synopsis field of who is making the submission, and who owns the rights to both the story and the translation.

  • As the owner of the creative work, you keep the copyright to your original work. Flip The Script Publishing retains non-exclusive rights to use the work in the specific anthology for which it was submitted including all related other formats. 

  • Format: All stories must be submitted via Submittable — we will not accept stories via email. You may submit up to three stories at any time. Our average response time is 120 days

  • Word length:  Short stories: 1,500-7,000 words. Narrative essays: min. 1,200 words

  • Submission does not guarantee that your work will be published

  • Compensation: We pay for all accepted pieces. $0.07 per word for Short Stories and $150 for personal essays. Payment upon publication.
